The Birth of Our Nation: America

This website will focus on the English colonization of North America through the American Revolution.

Students – 

  • You will first learn about the economic and political benefits of colonialism in British North America.
  • You will analyze the political, social, and economic circumstances of the colonies prior to the French and Indian War.
  • You will focus on the increasingly cruel policies that the British crown imposed on the colonies and colonists.
  • You will continue to analyze the different forms of rebellion used by the colonists against the British crown.
  • Lastly, you will be required to investigate the various perspectives and reactions to the actions of the colonists, and you will demonstrate your knowledge in the form of creating brochures, newspapers, and annotated timelines.
